CROSSFIT SoCOS Mission:

Technique is the crucial connection - wether your goal is to win the game, complete the mission, protect your life, OR just be fit for the demands of everyday life at any age, then welcome to CrossFit  --- Increasing work capacity across broad time and modal domains.

It is not where you workout it’s how you work out.  More importantly, it’s who you workout with.  At CrossFit SoCOS you are given instruction on technique and coached how to move better.  Additionally, you will be part of a community driven by fitness.  Shared hardship fosters close bonds between people.  We here at CrossFit SoCOS believe shared hardship between people is why we are different than the big box gym.

Q. How does CrossFit accomplish the above stated goals?:

A. CrossFit is a strength and conditioning system built on constantly varied functional movements, if not randomized, functional movements executed at high intensity.

Q. What do I mean by constantly varied.

A. CrossFit’s specialty is not specializing.  The Workouts of the Day (WOD) are seemingly random.  There is a method to the madness and it is fascinating.

Q. What is a functional movement?

A. A functional movement is an exercise that incorporates two or more joints and has applications in everyday life.

Q. How intense are we talking about?

A. The intensity is relatively high according to your fitness level and tolerance for metabolic pain.   Through observation, it is believed that the best and quickest positive fitness gains are a product of high intensity.  For more on how intense we are talking, watch this video.  Click Here To Download
